Ever heard of the Gross National Happiness Index?

It is an Index which shows not only economic data (the GDP and the National Income do so) but contains also some aspects of the people’s happiness - i.e. their feelings, enthusiasm aso. But this is always at least partly a subjective figure…

The idea is 35 years old and was originally developed by the King of Bhutan in 1972.

Now some guys from the Nobel laureate, headed by an Indian, developed the GWI, based on the Bhutanese GNHI idea. A lot of 3rd wolrd countries put a lot of hope in it… Let’s see if this is what the 1st world wants to hear - I’m very sceptical Though the Australians take it serious…

Seth Godin, einer der Päpste des Guerilla-Marketing, hat sich mal wieder über meinen Job geäußert. Und ich muss sagen, er hat recht, der gute Mann!

Und da gab’s ja noch was anderes, was ich fast schon wieder vergessen habe: Neulich kam eine Anfrage in meine Mailbox, warum meine Bücher denn nur auf Englisch zu haben seien. Nach viel Kopfkratzen hab ich mal Google befragt und bin bei Amazon fündig geworden: Dass es einen Namensvetter von mir in den USA gibt, der Bücher schreibt, das wusste ich. Aber dass er sich auch noch in meinem beruflichen Umfeld (=Leute einstellen) rumtreibt, das war mir neu. Beweise gibt’s hier…

Und wieder ein Bild zum Thema Hund, diesmal allerdings die etwas härtere Gangart. Ist ja auch kein Kuschelhund…
Man nehme eine Bulldogge, einen alten Waschmaschinenschlauch und lasse die beiden aufeinander los. Wenn man den Schlauch (sehr, sehr) fest hält, kann man sich drehen und der Hund fliegt

Hinweis an alle Tierschützer: Der Hund ist natürlich nicht an der Leine gehalten worden, das ist eine, deren Rolle nachgibt. Charley (der Hund) hing wirklich mit den Zähnen am Schlauch…
